If you are wanting to update your existing installation of FSX PLAY, which means you have already activated your FSX PLAY license and have been using the software or courses, you can use the FSX PLAY Update Tool. This is located within the FSX PLAY software on the top upper corner, near the FSX PLAY settings.
For Steps to do this please see below:
- Launch the FSX PLAY software and come to the Main Menu.
- On the Main Menu, locate the Navigation Menu in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Here you will see a few icons.
- The first is the downloads Icon, with a Down Arrow
- The second is the FSX PLAY Update Tool, with the Foresight Sports Logo.
- If you see a number hovering over the icon, this means you have available updates.
- The third is a search tool, which can be used to navigate the software more easily.
- The fourth is the Settings Menu, with three stacked horizontal lines (often refereed to as a hamburger menu).
- Select the second icon from left, the Update Tool, with the Foresight Sports logo.
- This tool will offer two tabs, a Software Tab, and a Courses Tab.
- To update the software, select the SOFTWARE TAB - here you will see available software versions to update.
- Within the NEW VERSION notice - listing the new version number, select the UPDATE NOW button.
- This will begin to download and will prompt you to install once the download is complete.
- To update courses, you may follow this same process but within the courses tab.
Once the update installation is complete you will need to restart the software.
To confirm the software is updated, select the FORESIGHT SPORTS header in the top center of the main menu. Which will list the installed version of software. This should match the version number that was in the previous Update Notice when you began to download the update.
You can also check the update tool once more to confirm there are no new updates available.
