Foresight Sports software and courses are digital licenses tied to your FSX Live account; not to a specific device or launch monitor.
This guide covers how to purchase, activate, and manage your FSX software and course licenses, including what to do if activation fails or a course doesn’t appear. For facilities operating multiple bays or PCs, each system requires its own software and course license (except for free content). See “Multi-Bay Facilities” below for setup recommendations.
Once activated, all licenses (software or courses) are permanently linked to the FSX Live account used during activation and cannot be transferred to another account.
Software Activation Steps
If you recently purchased FSX Play, FSX 2020, or FSX Pro, follow these steps to activate your software before adding courses:
Locate your activation code
Your activation code will be provided in your purchase confirmation email or found in your FSX Live account under “My Licenses.”Copy and paste your code
Highlight the full code and use Ctrl + C (copy) and Ctrl + V (paste) into the activation window inside your FSX software.
Typing manually often leads to errors like extra spaces or confusing characters (O vs 0, l vs 1).Activate your software
Open your FSX software and select Activate License or Enter Activation Code.
Paste your code exactly as provided, then click Activate.Restart your PC and relaunch FSX
This ensures all license data syncs properly with your FSX Live account.
If activation fails or the software reports a connection issue, review our guide:
Having Trouble Activating or Accessing Your Software? Check Your Internet and Firewall Settings.
How to Purchase Software & Courses
Through a Sales Representative
Once your order is paid, our fulfillment team manually assigns the purchased courses to the FSX Live account you provide.
You’ll receive a fulfillment email with confirmation and download instructions.
For multi-bay facilities, your representative can assist with bulk course purchases and license distribution to ensure each bay receives a unique activation code.
Through the Foresight Sports Online Shop
Visit the FSX Courses Shop.
After purchase, a one-time activation code is emailed to the purchaser.
This code is redeemed in FSX Play or FSX 2020 and ties the course license to your FSX Live account.
Course Activation in FSX Play vs FSX 2020
FSX Play
Includes a built-in Download Manager.
Once logged into your FSX Live account, enter your activation code or allow courses assigned by fulfillment to sync automatically.
You’ll see a notification when new courses are available to download and install.
Updates are delivered directly through the Download Manager.
FSX 2020
Requires manual course downloads.
Download from either your fulfillment email or the FSX 2020 Support Page.
Courses must then be manually installed on your PC.
Updates are also manual via the support page.
Note: Foresight Sports stopped producing new FSX 2020 courses after 2022/2023. Some courses are available only in FSX Play, while others remain exclusive to FSX 2020.
Subscription Requirements for Courses
For subscription-based devices (GC3s, Launch Pro, LPi), an active Gold Subscription is required to access FSX Play, FSX 2020, FSX Pro, Fairgrounds, and any associated course content.
No activation code is required; your subscription itself is the license.
If your subscription expires:
Your courses remain tied to your FSX Live account.
They become playable again once your subscription is renewed.
👉 For details on subscription features, see the FSX Subscription User Manual.
Special License Bundles (FSX 2020 and Pro/Fairgrounds)
Certain FSX 2020 activations include bonus software licenses:
FSX 2020 Activation includes two FSX Pro codes and one Foresight Fairgrounds code.
These codes appear on your Licenses page at performance.foresightsports.com, but you do not need to manually enter them.
Simply log into FSX Pro or Foresight Fairgrounds using the same FSX Live account you used to activate FSX 2020; access will be granted automatically.
Course License Management (Deactivation & Reuse)
Log into performance.foresightsports.com with your FSX Live credentials.
Go to My Account → Courses.
From here, you can:
Deactivate a course license (e.g., moving to a new PC or fixing a validation error).
Reactivate the same course in FSX Play or FSX 2020 using your original code.
Deactivation is helpful if:
You’re upgrading or replacing a PC.
A course validation fails and needs to be reset.
Software License Management (Deactivation & Reinstallation)
To move your FSX software to a new PC or fix a validation issue:
Log into performance.foresightsports.com.
Go to My Account → Licenses.
Deactivate your software license.
Reinstall and reactivate the software on your new PC with the same FSX Live account (no new code required).
Deactivation is helpful if:
You’re upgrading or replacing a PC.
A course validation fails and needs to be reset.
Each activation code can only be used once but can be deactivated and reused in your FSX Live Licenses tab.
This allows you to reinstall on a new PC if you upgrade or replace your system.
Multi-Bay Facilities (Multiple Systems and Licenses)
For facilities operating multiple hitting bays or simulators, each PC or bay requires its own software and course license.
Licenses are unique to each FSX installation and FSX Live account, except for free or demo courses which are automatically included.
Licensing Options for Multi-Bay Setups:
-
Separate FSX Live Accounts per Bay
Each bay has its own FSX Live login and unique software/course activations.
Simplifies management if bays are used by different staff, clients, or partners.
Recommended for high-turnover environments (e.g., entertainment venues, training centers).
-
Single Master FSX Live Account
All licenses are owned under one main FSX Live account.
Each PC/bay activates its own set of software and course licenses using the same master account.
Works best for smaller facilities or internal setups managed by one technical contact.
Keep track of which licenses are used on which systems — many facilities label PCs with stickers, notes, or a simple spreadsheet listing activation codes and bay assignments.
Important Notes:
Each bay needs a separate FSX Play or FSX 2020 software license.
Each bay also needs its own course licenses (except for the free Foresight demo courses).
Licenses cannot be shared between bays or transferred between FSX Live accounts once activated.
For course purchases in bulk, contact your sales representative to streamline multi-bay provisioning.
Pro Tip:
If your facility operates multiple bays under a single account and you experience activation errors or conflicting licenses, contact Foresight Support to review your activation history — we can help identify which systems are using which licenses.
Software Licenses (FSX Play & FSX 2020)
Software licenses are also tied to your FSX Live account.
Each activation code can only be used once but can be deactivated and reused in your FSX Live Licenses tab.
This allows you to reinstall the software on a new PC if you upgrade or replace your machine.
FSX Subscription (for GC3s & Launch Pro Users)
If you own a GC3 (Silver or Gold Subscription), Launch Pro, or Launch Pro Indoors, you’ll use FSX Subscription, a dedicated version of FSX 2020 made specifically for subscription-based devices. You can download this from our FSX Subscription Support Page.
Unlike the retail FSX 2020 software, which requires an activation code, FSX Subscription only needs your FSX Live username and password associated with an active subscription.
How it works:
Install the FSX Subscription version of the software (not standard FSX 2020).
When launching the software for the first time, sign in with your FSX Live credentials.
The software automatically checks your subscription status and unlocks access to the appropriate features and courses.
If your subscription expires:
The software will still open but will not allow access to simulation or course play.
Once your subscription renews, full functionality automatically returns.
FSX Play has simplified this process even further.
There is now only one version of FSX Play for all customers.
Upon first launch, FSX Play will prompt you to either:
Enter an activation code (for traditional license users), or
Sign in with your FSX Live account tied to a subscription-based product (GC3s, Launch Pro, or Launch Pro Indoors).
This design removes the need for separate installers and automatically connects FSX Play to your active subscription.
Common Activation Issues
Code Already in Use
Sign in to your FSX Live account and check My Licenses to confirm the code is already tied to your account.
If not visible there, contact Support with your purchase details.
Invalid or Mistyped Code
Always copy and paste the activation code.
If the issue persists, ensure your PC can connect to Foresight Sports servers (see Firewall & Network guide linked above).
Code Not Yet Issued
Some fulfillment processes require manual approval.
Allow up to 24 hours for processing or contact Support to confirm your order status.
Our Support Limitations
Courses and software are non-transferable and tied to the FSX Live account used for activation.
Licenses are account-based, not device-based.
We cannot move licenses between accounts.
Refunds are unavailable once a license has been activated.

If login credentials are shared in a second-hand sale, the buyer might access the seller’s courses or software.
Important Note: This is unsupported and outside our Terms & Conditions. The only official method of access is through the original purchasing FSX Live account.

FAQs
Can I use the same course or software on multiple PCs?
No. Each license is for one PC only unless multiple quantities were purchased.
Can I move my software or courses to a new PC?
Yes. Deactivate them in your FSX Live account, then reactivate on the new PC.
Why did my course or software disappear after reinstalling my PC?
You may need to log in and reactivate it in your FSX Live account.
Why do I see FSX Pro and Fairgrounds codes on my Licenses page after activating FSX 2020?
Those codes are granted automatically with FSX 2020. You don’t need to use them — simply log into FSX Pro or Fairgrounds with the same FSX Live account.
Can I transfer my licenses if I sell my device?
No. Licenses are tied to the FSX Live account, not to a device, and are non-transferable.
Is software tied to my launch monitor serial number?
No. Software licenses are tied only to your FSX Live account.
How should multi-bay facilities manage their licenses?
Each bay needs its own software and course licenses. You can either create separate FSX Live accounts for each bay or manage all activations under one master account and track them manually (for example, labeling PCs with their assigned codes).
