Yes. A payment method is required to start the 30-day trial, and it is collected in the purchase flow when you register your device or begin your enrollment.
Why It Is Collected Up Front
- Your card is stored so your subscription can convert automatically at the end of the trial.
- No charge occurs during the 30-day trial period.
When You Are Charged
- Your first charge occurs when the trial ends and your subscription converts to paid.
- The card on file is charged for whichever combination you selected at activation.
If Your Account Holds an Eligible FSX License
- A payment method is required to start the 30-Day Gold Trial, the same as any other trial.
- No payment method is required for the Silver and Course Pass included with your license. Those are already on your account.
- If you do not want to start the trial, select Skip in the purchase flow. You keep Silver and Course Pass at no cost, and no card is needed.
- If you start the trial and cancel before day 30, you are not charged, and Silver and Course Pass remain on your account at no cost.
Note:
If you do not want to continue, cancel before day 30. Once the trial converts, the charge is not refundable.
