Practice mode in Premier records every shot in a session, groups it by club, and gives you several ways to review the results — data tiles, dispersion and club views, side-by-side comparisons, and swing video.
Follow the workflow below to start a session, set up your screen, and review your performance.

Start a Practice Session
- Connect your launch monitor and confirm it is reading before you begin.
- From the main menu, select Practice.
- Select your profile. You can add multiple local profiles for friends and family, or add an existing Foresight account holder by entering their email address.
- Select the golf club you will hit first. Choose MyBag or Full Club List.
- MyBag populates only after you complete MyBag in the Foresight mobile app, where real golf shots are used to map your bag. We recommend completing MyBag so your data travels with you throughout the Foresight ecosystem.
- If you have not completed MyBag, you can still select from all available clubs.
- Select Begin Session to enter the 3D environment.
Session Tools and Controls
- Shot list: The panel on the left records every shot in the session. Each club or tagged club is separated into its own shot group and color for clear identification and trend tracking. Change clubs below the shot list. You can select the same club more than once by applying tags that identify a different shaft, grip, length, setup, or drill.
- Data tiles: Display from 1 to 16 data tiles at a time. Drag the bar above the tiles to customize their size and layout, including a smaller single row or two rows. Select the down arrow above the tiles to hide them, then the up arrow at the bottom of the screen to restore them. Select the gear in the upper-right corner of the data-tile area to choose and customize which tiles are displayed.
- Zones: Set minimum and maximum thresholds for any data point. For example, set a wedge carry target of 90 to 95 yards — the result displays green or red depending on whether the shot falls within the zone.
- Widgets: Widgets appear on the far right of the screen, and you can display none, one, or two at a time. Available widgets are Dispersion View, Club View, and Swing Video. Use Add Widget at the bottom right to add one. Hover over the top-right area of a widget to close or change it. Remove one widget to maximize the other across the screen.
- Targets: Above the data tiles at the upper left, add one or more target styles: a green with a customizable diameter, a bullseye with concentric rings and optional quadrants, or a landing zone that simulates a fairway for accuracy practice.
Session Settings
- Open the hamburger menu in the top-right corner. Under General Settings, you can turn Ball Find Assist on or off and adjust performance, audio, and room configuration settings.
- Configure the Room Configuration tool correctly in order to use lens shift. Existing room configuration settings from prior Foresight software carry over to Premier.
- Under Shot Analysis Settings, adjust elevation and air temperature to normalize results for your environment. You can also switch the camera between Chase and Static modes.
- Select New Session from the hamburger menu to begin another session without returning to the main menu. Coaches and fitters can select a new student from profile selection.
Analysis Views
- Range View: The default 3D practice environment.
- Table View: Review each shot, averages, and standard deviations, and customize the order of the data in one place.
- Club View: Review impact position when supported, plus a top-down view and a side-on view.
- The top-down view can show club path, face angle, launch direction, and side spin when supported. Club path requires at least one-dot mode; face angle requires four-dot mode.
- The side-on view can show angle of attack, dynamic loft, backspin, and launch angle. Angle of attack requires Club mode and one sticker; dynamic loft requires four stickers and a unit that supports four-sticker mode.
- Split View: Display two analysis views at once alongside the shot-list panel. Two analysis views are currently available, with more planned.
- Compare Mode: Compare ball data and club data on separate screens, switching between them at the bottom of the screen. Ball Data shows side-on trajectory, dispersion, and shot-shape comparisons for all clubs hit. Club Data shows table data plus side, top, and impact-location comparisons using club averages.
- Video View: Capture one to four cameras by changing the layout. A connected camera records automatically when a shot is hit.
- In Settings, adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and video length.
- Use the menu in the upper-left corner of each camera window to choose available cameras or compare swings. Use Live View in the upper-right corner to review recordings and return to live video.
- The toolkit at the far right provides drawing, color-selection, and editing tools.
Data and Export
- Premier currently offers 26 shot-analysis data tiles in three categories: ball-flight data, ball-launch data, and club data. Available tiles depend on the capabilities of your connected launch monitor.
- Sessions are saved to the cloud. You can also export session data to an Excel file for independent review.

FAQs
Do I need to complete MyBag before using Practice mode?
No. If you have not completed MyBag in the Foresight mobile app, you can still select from the full club list. Completing MyBag is recommended, since it maps your bag using real golf shots and carries your data across the Foresight ecosystem.
Why are some club-data tiles or Club View readings blank?
Club data depends on both your launch monitor’s capabilities and the stickers applied to the clubface. Club path requires at least one-dot mode, face angle requires four-dot mode, angle of attack requires Club mode and one sticker, and dynamic loft requires four stickers on a unit that supports four-sticker mode.
Can more than one person use the same session?
Yes. You can add multiple local profiles for friends and family, or add an existing Foresight account holder by entering their email address. Coaches and fitters can select a new student from profile selection when starting a new session.
How do I compare the same club with different setups?
Select the same club more than once and apply tags identifying the different shaft, grip, length, setup, or drill. Each tagged club becomes its own shot group with its own color in the shot list.
Can I get my session data out of Premier?
Yes. Sessions are saved to the cloud automatically, and session data can be exported to an Excel file for independent review.
