After installing Premier, the Auto Connect feature will locate and connect to your launch monitor for you. For Auto Connect to function, the launch monitor must be powered on and connected to the PC through Wi-Fi Direct, Ethernet, or USB-C.
If Auto Connect does not find your unit, you can connect manually from the connection modal. Follow the steps below to connect, choose your tracking mode, and troubleshoot a unit that will not connect.
Note:
These steps assume the Premier software is already installed on your PC. If you have not installed Premier yet, see the article Purchased a Foresight+ Subscription? Here’s How to Install and Access It first.
Connect Your Launch Monitor
- Power on your launch monitor and connect it to the PC through a supported wired or wireless connection.
- Open Premier and allow Auto Connect to locate the unit.
- If Auto Connect does not locate the unit, open the connection modal in the top-right corner of the screen. Select your unit from the list of available devices, or select Search for Unit.
- If this is the first time connecting to the unit through Wi-Fi Direct on this PC, enter the password FSSPORTS when prompted (For Ground-Placed Launch Monitors Only)
- Select the unit and follow the connection prompts. Allow up to 90 seconds for the connection to complete.
- After the unit connects, confirm your handedness and tracking mode.
Handedness and tracking mode only need to be configured once. These settings are saved to your profile or unit and can be changed later on the unit itself or in Settings.
Ball and Club Tracking Modes
If your connected unit reads both ball and club data, select the tracking mode you want to use.
- Ball mode: Provides a larger impact and hitting zone, and reports ball data only.
- Club mode: Reports both ball and club data on supported units, with a slightly smaller hitting area. Club stickers must be applied to the clubface to receive club data.
- Depending on the unit, one-sticker mode or both one- and four-sticker modes may be supported. Putting uses three stickers.
- You can select Club mode without using stickers. Ball data will still be reported, but the club-data tiles will remain blank.
Supported Connection Types
- Wired — Ethernet: Supported by all units.
- Wired — USB-C: Supported by ground units. Ceiling-mounted units support USB-C, but Ethernet is recommended.
- Wireless — Wi-Fi Direct: Available on all Ground-placed units only
- Foresight app: Connects to all units through Bluetooth only.
If Your Launch Monitor Will Not Connect
- Confirm that the launch monitor is powered on and connected to the PC through a supported connection type.
- Run the device search again.
- Confirm that all cables are fully seated. Unplug them, reconnect them, and retry.
- If you are using Wi-Fi Direct, confirm that the PC is connected to the launch monitor’s Wi-Fi network and that FSSPORTS was entered as the password when required. Then rerun the device search.
- If both Auto Connect and the manual connection process fail, enter the device serial number when prompted.
- If the device is still not found or will not connect, contact Foresight Sports Support.

FAQs
Does Premier support a USB-C connection?
Yes. Premier supports USB-C for ground units. Ceiling-mounted units also support USB-C, but Ethernet is the recommended connection for those models.
What is the Wi-Fi Direct password?
The password is FSSPORTS. You will only be prompted for it the first time you connect to the unit through Wi-Fi Direct on a given PC.
How long should the connection take?
Allow up to 90 seconds for the unit to connect. If nothing happens after that, run the device search again.
Do I need club stickers to use Club mode?
Stickers are required to receive club data. You can still select Club mode without stickers — ball data will be reported as normal, but the club-data tiles will remain blank.
Do I have to set my handedness and tracking mode every session?
No. These settings are saved to your profile or unit after the first setup. You can change them at any time on the unit or in Settings.
