If you’re getting a validation failure or internet error when trying to activate FSX or receive activation emails, and you use Comcast / Xfinity, their security settings might be blocking Foresight’s servers.
Here’s how to fix it:
Steps to Resolve the Issue
Log into your Xfinity / Comcast account
Go to xfinity.com/myxfi and sign in.-
Disable Xfinity Advanced Security
In the XFi dashboard, click More at the top or navigate to Security / Advanced Security
Turn off XFi Advanced Security
Wait a few minutes for the change to propagate
-
If you have a Comcast Business account
Install the Comcast / Xfinity app on your phone
Open the app → Connect → Advanced Security
Turn off the security setting there
It might take up to 10 minutes for it to take effect
-
Verify your connection to Foresight’s server
After disabling XFi security, open a browser and go to:https://api.foresightsports.comIf that loads, the connection is open.
Then try your validation step again
Go back into FSX or the software you were activating and retry your license validation or activation. If that fails, follow general FSX validation-error troubleshooting

FAQs
Q: Why is Comcast blocking the validation or activation?
Comcast’s XFi Advanced Security can filter or block traffic to certain domains, including Foresight’s license and API endpoints.
Q: Will disabling Xfinity security affect my other internet usage?
Only the advanced security / filtering component is turned off; your basic connectivity and network operations should continue.
Q: What if I don’t see “XFi Advanced Security” in my Comcast settings?
Your account might not have that feature enabled by default. Contact Comcast support and ask if “Advanced Security / XFi” is active on your account.
Q: I disabled XFi security and the server still won’t load—what next?
Check for VPNs, firewalls, or local network restrictions. If the problem persists, escalate to your ISP or contact Foresight support.
