Issue:
When signing in to FSX Pro using the "Trial/Subscription" button, and after successfully connecting your LaunchPro:
- An "Invalid Password/Player Creation Event Failed" message is encountered despite entering your correct FSX Live password
Reason:
When FSX Pro calls out to our server to validate the player credentials, an error is encountered which does not allow this process to be properly completed.
Resolution:
The resolution to this error will depend on which platform you are using with FSX Pro:
PC Users -
- Close FSX Pro if it is currently open
- Copy and paste the following file path into your desktop search bar:
- C:\Users\FSS Support Agent\AppData\LocalLow\ForeSightSports\FSX Pro
- Highlight all contents within this folder and press shift+delete
- Select "Yes" to permanently delete these files
- Re-launch FSX Pro and attempt to sign in again
- **If this does not succeed on the initial attempt, please attempt signing in while the LaunchPro is connected via Ethernet cable to the home WiFi router**
iPad Users (LTE Enabled) -
- Power cycle both the iPad and the LaunchPro
- Ensure the LaunchPro is connected to your home WiFi network
- Connect your iPad directly to the GC3-100xxxx WiFi network (just like connecting your iPad to your home WiFi)
- Within the FSX Pro "Trial/Subscription" device connection menu, ensure the WiFi connection type is reflected (if ethernet is shown, disconnect and re-search for the device)
- Re-enter your FSX Live password
iPad Users (WiFi Only) -
- At this time, an LTE enabled iPad is highly encouraged with the current build of FSX Pro
- Power Cycle both the iPad and the LaunchPro
- Ensure both the LaunchPro and iPad are connected to the same home WiFi Network
- **This method can often be made more successful if the LaunchPro is connected to the home router via an ethernet cord**
- Within the FSX Pro "Trial/Subscription" device connection menu, ensure the Ethernet/Net connection type is reflected
- Re-enter your FSX Live password
- It may take multiple log-in attempts for this error to clear
